Media Center parent and student volunteers will be given training by the media staff. We truly appreciate your help and support in our school.

"Maryland State Law requires that Volunteers, including Parent Volunteers, complete annual Child Abuse Training prior to serving as a volunteer in any school. Child Abuse Training provides volunteers with the opportunity to learn about child abuse reporting procedures when abuse is suspected. "

We require each of our volunteers to complete Child Abuse Training prior to volunteering. If you have not yet completed the training, please use this link to view the attached PowerPoint presentation. Volunteers should view the attached Powerpoint presentation. Once each slide has been viewed, the attached electronic form should be completed.

- Creation of displays
- Assisting students when using the online catalog (PAC)
- Book check out/in
- Set up, clean up and running the school book fairs
- Clerical duties, such as photocopying or preparing lesson materials

- Shelving
- Book check out/in (supervised)
- Assisting peers when using the online catalog (PAC)
- Assisting peers find books
